PHOENIX (UPI) — Phoenix native Craig Davidson says he always stops on his runs to pick up even a penny and that’s why his running luck has amounted to more than $8,100.

The 54-year-old said in addition to running for exercise, he has picked up thousands of dollars in loose change, The Arizona Republic reported.

“I’ve found money every day,” Davidson said. “April 3, 1983, was the last day I didn’t find money.”

That was 25 years ago. As of Thursday, Davidson’s found money amounted to $8,160, or an average of about 90 cents a day.

That might not sound like much, but Davidson says he has paid for a Hawaiian vacation for himself and his wife with money others overlooked.

Davidson is targeting a new kind of lost treasure now — Coke reward points.

ORLANDO, Fla. (UPI) — A Florida man says he will name his son after a morning radio team in exchange for $100 worth of gasoline.

David Partin cut the deal with hosts Richard Dixon and J. Willoughby, who were offering $100 in gas for the most creative swap, WKMG-TV, Orlando, Fla., reported.

The hosts plan to be on hand when the baby is born next winter to ensure his name is Dixon and Willoughby Partin, WKMG said.

Partin will get his gas card as soon as the birth certificate is signed.
