C. Delores Tucker Lawsuit Vs. Death Row Rages On

by FuKdAtShHh on Feb.15, 2008, under Hip Hop News

Death Row Records attorney David Kenner could face the husband of gangsta rap opponent C. Delores Tucker on opposite sides of a courtroom, according to a new appeal filed by the estate of the late civil rights leader. According to the appeal, which was filed Feb. 8, William Tucker and the estate of C. Delores Tucker are hoping the court will take another look at lawsuits filed by Death Row and Interscope Records against his deceased wife, to see if the suits were done with malicious intent. The latest appeal in the long running lawsuit references lyrics from two songs from former Death Row artist Tupac Shakur. “The two songs made by Tupac under the Death Row record label during the litigation demonstrate the strongest antipathy to Tucker, who is assailed in vile language,” the appeal noted. Although Kenner did not have a hand in writing Shakur’s lyrics, the Tuckers state that the attorney is “responsible for setting out the malicious imaginings of a client with such hate, or so a jury could conclude.”

Charges Against Trick Daddy Dropped

by FuKdAtShHh on Feb.15, 2008, under Hip Hop News

Prosecutors dismissed misdemeanor charges against Miami rapper Trick Daddy yesterday (February 14). Charges of disorderly intoxication and resisting arrest were tossed, after prosecutors admitted the rapper did not commit any crimes during an altercation last September at Tootsies Cabaret. Police responded to a fight at the gentleman’s club around 1:00 am and found a visibly intoxicated Trick Daddy cursing and threatening the staff. Police allegedly asked Trick Daddy, 33, to leave multiple times, before taking him into custody. The rapper was taken to a local hospital, treated for minor injuries sustained during the fight at Tootsies and then arrested and charged with the two misdemeanor offenses. Representatives for Trick Daddy said he was very pleased with the outcome of yesterday’s court proceedings.

Ananova: New sports car creates a splash

by FuKdAtShHh on Feb.15, 2008, under Technology

A Swiss company says it has invented the world’s first underwater car - and it’s a convertible.
The Rinspeed sQuba concept car was inspired by James Bond’s The Spy Who Loved Me.

Similar to 007’s Lotus Esprit, the sQuba is a road-worthy vehicle that, at the touch of a button, can transform into an amphibious vehicle capable of diving to a depth of about 33 feet.

Rinspeed boss Frank M. Rinderknecht admitted it was Bond who gave him the idea for the car.

“And exactly thirty years later this becomes reality in today’s world”, he says, describing the sQuba as “the worlds first real diving car with zero emission power”.

The one-off concept car is not for sale, but it cost around £750,000 to build.

Propulsion on the water is by two propellers in the stern while two powerful jet drives in the bow propel the vehicle while diving underwater.

The lightweight body is made of futuristic “carbon nano tubes” and the driver is supplied with air by a self-contained on-board system.

The sQuba goes on show for the first time at next month’s motor show in Geneva.
