Rappers Get Ready For Super Tuesday Elections |
Voters in twenty-four states across America will head to the polls tomorrow (February 5) in what is labeled “Super Tuesday,” the biggest day in the process to choose candidates for the Nov. presidential election. The energy of Election 2008 has increased exponentially after the Iowa caucus kicked off on January 3, which saw Illinois Senator Barack Obama defeat the popular New York Senator Hillary Clinton. Although Obama also won the state contest in South Carolina, Clinton still maintains a narrow lead in nationwide polls. “I have been struggling,” Hip-Hop mogul Russell Simmons admitted to AllHipHop.com. “There are some real hard issues. My brain has been with Hillary Clinton a long time and I’m trying to get my heart…I met with Barack once.†Q-Tip, of legendary Hip-Hop group A Tribe Called Quest, has firmly endorsed Barack Obama. “I am endorsing Barack Obama because I feel that we can benefit greatly from a leader that offers sound judgment and experience rooted in the lives of real people,” Q-Tip said.
